CrowdRiff Releases Visual Influence Platform Using Google’s Artificial Intelligence

CrowdRiff, a visual and social marketing solution for brands, this week unveiled their Visual Influence Platform.

The platform uses artificial intelligence to transform the way companies amass and optimize visual content. Customers can upload thousands of photos in minutes, and Google Vision’s image recognition and classification features automatically label any objects, words, and landmarks in each photo—making them searchable from anywhere in seconds.

Visual content is several times more likely to be shared on social media and receives significantly more views than content without an image attached. Meanwhile, only 27% of marketers have a process in place to save, organize, and manage their visual content for their teams, and photos are often scattered across folders, shared drives, Dropbox, smartphones and more.

“For years, CrowdRiff has revolutionized the way companies discover, secure rights to, and utilize user-generated photos and videos. Now, we’re thrilled to align with Google Vision to create the world’s smartest end-to-end platform that keeps all visual assets in one place, and helps clients around the world unleash their highest visual influence potential,” said CrowdRiff CEO Dan Holowack.

Premium early access is available by invitation.

CrowdRiff Raises Seed Round to Launch Visual Influence Platform

Toronto’s CrowdRiff, a visual and social marketing solution for destination and travel brands, today announced $2 million (USD) in seed funding.

The Canadian company also revealed a 400% growth in customers in 2015.

The seed round hails from BDC Venture Capital, Gibraltar Ventures, High Alpha Capital and Foundation Capital.

The capital will be used to drive product innovation, accelerate hiring in sales and marketing and build out their visual influence platform, CrowdRiff says.

“We are excited to partner with Dan and the CrowdRiff team as they embark on empowering brand marketers to obtain greater engagement through access to authentic visual imagery,” said Cam di Prata, founder of Gibraltar Ventures.

“Using photos and videos to promote your brand has completely changed in the last few years with customers demanding authenticity, variety and immediacy—and that’s what CrowdRiff delivers,” says CrowdRiff CEO Dan Holowack.
